About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-time Bow Technician to join their team. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service by servicing bows, including setup, tuning, repair, and stringing. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining a clean workspace, attending training, answering customer questions about merchandise, stocking shelves, and ordering repair parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, a team-first mentality, and a commitment to learning and adapting. As an employee-owner, you are expected to take pride in your work and act with honesty and integrity.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to also exert up to 50 - 80 lbs of pulling force regularly.
Ability to follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Responsibilities

Service bows, including setting them up with accessories, tuning, repairing, and stringing them.
Communicate the repair process and provide suggestions for ongoing maintenance to customers.
Maintain an orderly and immaculate appearance of personal workspace, archery bench, back stock space, and surrounding areas.
Attend sales and product knowledge training meetings as required.
Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
Contact vendors to order and follow up on repair part orders.
Assist with customer trade-ins.
