About The Position

The Bottling Line Operator is a full-time, entry-level member of the production team responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining bottling and packaging equipment. Day to day, this role loads materials onto the line, inspects finished product for quality, supports changeovers and cleanup, and helps the team meet production goals while keeping the bottling area clean, organized, and safe. No prior bottling or manufacturing experience is required; paid on-the-job training is provided. This role is well suited to someone looking to start a career in wine or packaging who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, patience, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-growing company with shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and safety labels
  • Must possess a sense of urgency and positivity while being a team player
  • Must have the ability to multitask and complete duties, tasks, and projects despite interruptions
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete duties, tasks, and projects with little or no supervision
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (required for forklift operation and handling of alcoholic beverages)
  • Must successfully complete company-provided forklift training and certification within the introductory period
  • Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as production and harvest schedules require

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bottling and packaging equipment according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Load bottles, closures, labels, and other packaging materials onto the bottling line
  • Inspect bottles and finished product for proper fill level, closure, labeling, and packaging quality; remove and report nonconforming product
  • Identify and promptly report mechanical issues or abnormalities to the supervisor; perform basic line adjustments and routine equipment checks as trained
  • Complete line changeovers between product runs and perform line cleanup and sanitation
  • Track and count packaging material inventory to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Package, palletize, and move finished product, including safely operating a forklift after completing company-provided training and certification
  • Follow all company safety, sanitation, quality, and production procedures, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe bottling area
  • Support cellar operations during harvest season as needed

  • Fixed weekly salary of $960 – $1,120, DOE, as straight-time pay for all hours worked each week, with opportunity for goal-based pay increases
