About The Position

Andrew Peller Limited (APL) is seeking a Bottling Line Operator and Shipper to join their high-performing Operations Team. This role is crucial in packaging wines and other beverage products to meet exacting Company and Government quality standards. The position offers a challenging and rewarding employment experience within one of Canada's largest and oldest wine companies, known for its rich heritage in quality winemaking and commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have production experience in a beverage, food, or consumer goods production facility and will work closely with a supportive team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment — ideally in beverage, bottling, or food handling
  • Mechanically inclined, comfortable working around automated equipment, and eager to learn
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Reliable, hands-on, and available for rotating day and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain bottling and packaging line equipment including bag-in-box, palletizers, packers, wirehooder, and foil application stations
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure product quality and food safety
  • Perform and document in-line quality inspections
  • Communicate maintenance or quality issues promptly to the Bottleshop Lead or Packaging Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Participate in product rework as needed (re-labelling, debottling, inspections)
  • Support a positive, team-focused environment built on respect, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship
  • Ensure all shipments are properly prepared for shipping and accompanied by a bill of lading
  • Physically count and verify production quantities as well as outgoing and incoming materials
