About The Position

The Border Security AI/ML Engineer will join a dynamic team supporting U.S Federal border security customers. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with border security and law enforcement clients to design develop and deploy AI and ML applications to support mission outcomes. Develop optimized ML tool sets and applications aligned to customer use cases Develop and maintain data governance documentation, tools, and templates. Coordinate with non-technical users to gather requirements. Support key mission clients within the Washington DC Metro region at client sites. We are actively hiring for this role at multiple levels (Associate, Senior, and Lead) to support ongoing and upcoming federal client work across CBP. Candidates will be considered and leveled based on experience, technical capabilities, and overall alignment to project needs.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED CBP PUBLIC TRUST OR an ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Experience designing and implementing machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence solutions
  • Experience deploying Machine Learning solutions within cloud environments including AWS and/or Google
  • Experience configuring AI applications for law enforcement use cases

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with COTS data tools such as DataRobot
  • Proficiency working with CSP platforms and tools such as AWS Sagemaker and Rekognition, Google Cloud Platform and Google AI tools
  • Experience developing bespoke analytical tools for law enforcement analysis
  • Direct Experience supporting the National Targeting Center or similar National Security analysis fusion centers
