Boot Fitter
About The Position
The Boot Fitter understands the properties of ski equipment and is proficiently knowledgeable at evaluating the fitting of ski boots. This role focuses on selling ski boots, custom and cut-to-fit footbeds, and performing boot modifications to improve comfort and performance for skiing and other athletic footwear. The position also supports sales of related hardgoods, including skis, snowshoes, ski bags, and accessories. There are seasonal full time and part time opportunities available. This role is compensated at $21.00/hr. Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the ski/snowboard industry, preferred
- Previous boot fitting experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess skiers or riders’ alignment through visual evaluation and physiological methods
- Access skiers current and future ski ability through conversation to determine best product fit
- Analyze basic foot functions relative to boot shape kinesiology and stance
- Understand techniques for boot modifications, stance alignment protocols
- Ability to present educational discussions on biomechanics
- Demonstrate modifications to buyers
- Fabrication of custom foot beds
- Operate point of sale system and follow all cash handling procedures
