About The Position

This role supports the Bookstore Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the church bookstore. The associate is responsible for tasks such as ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise. A key aspect of the position is creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for customers, ensuring a positive experience for everyone who visits. The associate will provide excellent customer service, which includes answering questions and offering recommendations. Collaboration with other ministries is also essential to ensure the bookstore effectively supports the church's overall mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage a team of volunteers and work collaboratively with other ministries
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Christian literature and media preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and point-of-sale software preferred
