About The Position

Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) Mayoral Academy is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting the mission of BVP by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and assisting with financial operations.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in an education agency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills in programs including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• College degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with Sage / MIP accounting software preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Enter and review the majority of accounting transactions, including all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable items with appropriate UCOA codes and descriptions into computerized accounting system.
• Maintain all paperwork related to Accounts Payable transactions (file, compile requests for auditors and maintain multi-year filing system).
• Assist in annual audit and interim research projects by compiling necessary schedules, quarterly UCOA reports, and additional work as required for review of Director of Finance.
