About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate is a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and can manage day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities across multiple entities with accuracy and efficiency. The pay range for this position is $20-25 per hour depending on skills and experience. As a Bookkeeper, you will be a trusted member of our finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities. This role offers autonomy, clear responsibilities, and the opportunity to influence financial operations. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience is required
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel is required
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and HST returns
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic financial reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP is a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the books using QBO for various related corporations
  • Classify transactions accurately by working closely with property managers
  • Enter and pay bills
  • Process payroll, including maintaining employee records, calculating wages, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions
  • Apply payments and reconcile accounts
  • Balance cash and prepare journal entries
  • Prepare HST returns
  • Perform general filing and administrative tasks
  • Apply payments in industry-specific software
  • Prepare weekly reports on accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Prepare monthly expense reports per property based on classified transactions
