About The Position

Howard Leasing is a growing mid-size company committed to operational excellence. We're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team and help keep our financial records accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, GAAP)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PEO industry
  • Familiarity with PayPlus Software

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Track and categorize expenses and bank transactions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments as needed
  • Assist with Tax Payments to Federal, State, and Local agencies
  • Setup and track wage garnishments and child support orders
  • Assist with unemployment claim management
