About The Position

We are working with a growing commercial services company in Northern Nevada who is looking for a seasoned bookkeeping professional who is ready to plant roots. This is a confidential search and the right person will step into a critical role that is the financial and operational backbone of the company. Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience; full-cycle AP/AR, independent month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience processing weekly payroll
  • Benefits enrollment administration experience (medical/dental/vision and 401k)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, linked worksheets)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable handling multi-line phones and working directly with field staff
  • A systems mindset where you are comfortable learning new software without full documentation in place
  • On-site availability in Northern Nevada (an easy commute from Reno, Sparks, or Dayton areas)

Nice To Haves

  • QuickBooks Online experience
  • Prior accounting or billing platform experience
  • Familiarity with third party payroll platforms (i.e. Paychex or ADP)
  • Construction industry or equipment service background
  • Collections experience; comfortable picking up the phone

Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle AP/AR function; invoice coding, vendor payments, customer invoicing, payment posting, and collections
  • Complete month-end close independently; balance sheet reconciliations monthly
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and flag discrepancies
  • Process weekly customer billing on schedule
  • Maintain audit-ready financial records
  • Collaborate with outside support to review books at month-end
  • Process weekly payroll through a third-party payroll platform; handle employee payroll Q&A
  • Administer medical, dental, and vision benefit enrollments and renewals
  • Support 401(k) enrollment and employee questions
  • Serve as primary contact for the few incoming calls, being the capable, personable point person
  • Support onboarding/offboarding and maintain HR documentation
  • Coordinate office supplies and general administrative operations as needed
