About The Position

This position involves bookkeeping tasks such as money handling, safe deposits, money pick-ups, and tracking. It also includes customer service duties, particularly in checking out customers, identifying produce items, processing coupons, and handling various payment methods accurately and securely. The role requires friendly and courteous service, reliable attendance, and the ability to work on your feet for the entire shift.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Ability to identify and know produce items and properly use produce and product codes.
Ability to distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons.
Ability to process manufacturer coupons.
Ability to collect correct amount due from customer.
Proficiency in using proper procedures for accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers, and other payment options.
Ability to complete register record accurately.
Ability to practice and maintain cash security.
Ability to bag customer orders.
Ability to change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates.
Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates.
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview (for internal candidates).

Complete register record accurately.
Practice and maintain cash security.
Bag customer orders.
Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
