Job Description- Administrative Manager/Bookkeeper Cross Insurance – Wellesley is seeking and a full –time Bookkeeper/Administrative Manage with at least 3 years of experience in accounting to join our agency. We are a large fast-paced insurance agency which prides ourselves on working collaboratively as a team. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving accounting skills with the ability to build strong working relationships through effective communication practices. To be successful in this role one must be detail oriented, organized, and be able to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality. A background in the insurance industry would be a plus.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving accounting skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through effective communication practices
  • Detail oriented, organized, and be able to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and resourcefully
  • Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • A background in the insurance industry would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly closing, managing accounts payables, accounts receivables, and invoicing.
  • Collaboratively work with Department Managers and staff to ensure clients and carrier account accuracy.
  • Prepare and develop accounting reports from our agency management system
  • Analyze financial data and commission reports to discover discrepancies
  • Maintain all processes related to bank depository accounts
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
