AEIS is seeking an ICC certified Bolting Inspector to support its expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects. This role is essential for ensuring quality, durability, and compliance across field inspections, testing, and project execution. Requirements

  • ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Certification (Active)
  • 1–10 years of field experience in structural inspection
  • OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to project sites
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS CWI or NDT Level I/II certifications (MT/UT)
  • Experience with public infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with structural steel construction practices

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural bolting inspections in compliance with ICC, AISC, DOT, and project-specific standards.
  • Observe and verify bolt installations and torque-testing operations.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and quality requirements on-site.
  • Identify and document deficiencies and corrective actions.
  • Submit daily inspection reports within <24 hours.
  • Maintain 90%+ completion of all assigned safety training.
  • Target zero avoidable safety or equipment incidents.
  • Submit 98% of draft reports within 8 hours — with minimal revisions.
  • Maintain 95% on-time site check-in/check-out.
  • Less than 1 serious issue per quarter related to Inspections, Measuring, and Test Equipment due to technician error, lack of maintenance, or lost/damaged equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records using AEIS digital reporting tools.
  • Review and verify technical documents (e.g., WPS/PQR, lab results, etc.).
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and QA/QC Specialists.
  • Contribute to lessons-learned discussions and workflow improvements.
