ICC Special Inspector

NV5, Inc. is seeking qualified ICC and/or CWI Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in Southern California and a large project in Campo, CA. Must have experience providing inspections for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. Experience with California adopted codes preferred. Project locations and durations vary by assignment.
Requirements
- Familiar with California Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
- Must be a motivated individual who can follow direction.
- Prepare daily reports for submission to QC Manager.
- A valid Driver's license
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- ACI, ICC, CWI certifications/licenses
Nice To Haves
- Experience with California adopted codes preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform QC/QA inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws ordinances, regulations and standards
- Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations
- Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements
- Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to inspection activities
- Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance
- Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
