About The Position

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions (MacMiller) is seeking an Industrial Boiler Technician to provide maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation services for boiler and burner systems for commercial and industrial customers. This role involves acting as a technical expert, consulting with customers on system issues, and recommending solutions for safe and efficient operation. The technician will collaborate with SSP Account Executives, the Service Coordination team, and Foreperson to ensure customer satisfaction and project success. This is a union position within the Industrial Group, focused on delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with boiler systems, including high- and low-pressure steam boilers, hot water systems, and various boiler types (fire-tube, water-tube, condensing).
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver 50+ pounds.
  • Current union membership or willingness and ability to join the Local Union.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Washington and Oregon as needed.
  • Washington and/or Oregon boiler licensing, or the ability to obtain the required licenses.
  • Washington and/or Oregon low-voltage licensing, or the ability to obtain the required licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation services for boiler and burner systems.
  • Serve as a trusted technical expert, consulting with customers on issues and recommending solutions.
  • Collaborate with SSP Account Executives, Service Coordination team, and Foreperson to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and projects are completed successfully.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex boiler and burner systems.
  • Build trust, communicate clearly, and guide customers through technical issues and solutions.
  • Execute work with distinction, delivering quality work and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety.

Benefits
