About The Position

Alliance Group is seeking a full-time Boiler Technician with commercial experience to join our Industrial Combustion department. This individual will be responsible for maintaining commercial and industrial fuel fired appliances by utilizing skills and knowledge in gas and fuel regulation, electrical controls systems, and pipefitting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and high-level customer service.

Requirements

  • 6+ years licensed experience with Natural Gas and or LP Gas systems required
  • 6+ years licensed experience with Fuel oil systems required
  • 4+ years Pipefitting experience required
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting steam boilers and related equipment.
  • Strong general mechanical understanding and comprehension.
  • Strong understanding of hydronic systems, regulation and controls.
  • Must maintain a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be able to climb up and down Scaffolding, Ladders, Stairs as job requires.
  • U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory
  • Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.
  • A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform start-up and decommissions of new boilers, furnaces, and other industrial fuel fired appliances.
  • Determine diverse service issues for systems including (but not limited to) advanced burner controls, fuel oil and gas trains, and complete any necessary repairs, including ordering replacement parts and calibrating all systems to manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimal safety and efficiency of advanced combustion and steam systems according to manufacturer's specifications
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and fully explaining current issues, timelines, and resolutions to customers when appropriate.
  • Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company work vehicle.
