About The Position

The Boiler Technician is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of boilers, steam systems, and related mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations. This role supports critical patient care services by maintaining reliable heating, steam, and hot water systems in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ten (10) years of directly related experience
  • Five (5) years of related experience in a healthcare environment
  • Current California Driver's License
  • Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under Community Memorial Healthcare insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Boiler Operator Certification
  • Valid High Pressure Boiler Certification
  • Working knowledge of hot water boilers, high-pressure steam boilers, steam injection systems, HVAC integration, water testing and treatment, building management systems (BMS), and safety controls
