About The Position
Perform extensive maintenance, cleaning, tuning, overhaul and repair, of both fire-side and water-side boiler sections for year-round continuous boiler operations in a 24-hour per day, 7 days per week operating environment. Perform setup, start-up, and removal of portable boilers as required. Must additionally be able to perform all duties of a general Boiler Operator for boilers ranging from small electric type to large natural gas fired units.

Responsibilities
- Perform general preventive maintenance of boiler systems, such as but not limited to: cleaning of fuel oil strainers, adjustment and cleaning of burners, and maintenance of associated feed water systems.
- Perform monthly test of safety relief valves on all operating boilers.
- Aid in performing annual boiler inspections, including annual certification of safety relief valves.
- Perform general maintenance and repair of boilers and associated systems.
- Employ instrumentation and trouble-shooting skills to detect and resolve boiler anomalies.
- Possess ability to tune boilers for maximum efficiency, including performing and analysis of monthly combustion tests
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
