About The Position
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a Swing Shift Boiler/Kiln Operator to join our team. This is an entry-level position into the Boiler-Kiln Apprenticeship program. The selected candidate will advance through the Boiler-Kiln work up steps, attend the required training and accrue the required hours in the program before reaching the top level.
Requirements
- Must have a valid forklift certification.
- High School Diploma or GED ( or willingness to obtain GED)
- Must be able to work various shifts, days, and overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous Boiler/Kiln experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations and Job Safety Analysis
- Comply with all company rules and regulations
- Dry lumber of all sorts using computer to control kilns
- Operate forklift to load and unload kilns and to move product
- Assist Planer Infeed Forklift Operator if time allows
- Complete daily paperwork and reports on computer
- Keep work area clean at all times – cleanup during and after shift – do not leave until cleanup complete
- Conduct required pre-operating checks on equipment prior to use
- Consistently keep a production level work pace
- Other duties directed by supervisor.
