About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting boiler operators and supervisors with various tasks related to steam systems and maintenance. The position requires a foundational understanding of boiler operations and the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 6 months general related experience and/or current enrollment in accredited technical school steam systems/maintenance program
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple 2 and 3-part instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively communicate to boiler operators and Boiler Supervisor problems and recommendations
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; or to effectively learn these skills within a prescribed probationary period
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
