About The Position

Hood Industries, Inc. is seeking a Boiler Helper for their plywood mill in Beaumont, Mississippi. This role involves working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with a team. Requirements

Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Proven safety and quality record.
Previous work experience in an industrial environment.
Must be able to work on an 8- or 12-hour shift and be available for overtime.
Must be able to maintain a good attendance record and able to comply with attendance policy.
Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must be a self-directed worker, capable of working alone or in a team environment to solve problems and implement solutions.
Must provide documentation indicating legal right to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Industrial boiler work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operating a front-end loader to load fuel bins for the boilers.
Raking boilers and emptying ash hoppers.
Feeding the fuel end bark chipper with a front-end loader.
Opening boiler doors to blow out ashes, rake boilers, and ensure general working order of the boiler.
Operating a front-end loader safely, including pre-operation checks.
Conducting facility maintenance of the boiler control room.
Other duties as assigned.
