About The Position

This role involves assisting in the operation and maintenance of boilers within a power plant. Key responsibilities include cleaning boiler components, monitoring water quality, performing routine maintenance, and operating heavy machinery. The Boiler Helper is expected to maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere strictly to company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to operate boilers and all related equipment
• Ability to operate Front End Loader and Forklift
• Proficiency in using test reagents for water quality analysis
• Knowledge of routine maintenance tasks such as greasing and oil level checks
• Understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Commitment to maintaining excellent housekeeping practices

Responsibilities

• Clear boiler grates, tubes, firewalls, under grates and scrubber of ash and deposits
• Uses test reagents to obtain test results from various boiler water, feed water and condensate samples
• Demonstrates excellent housekeeping practices throughout the power plant and all auxiliary stations
• Performs duties, such as greasing fittings and chains, maintaining oil levels in gearboxes, and reservoirs
• Operates Front End Loader, and Forklift
• Demonstrates ability to operate boilers and all related equipment
• Follows company policies, procedures and safety rules
