About The Position

As a BOH Team Member at Good Ambler's 2 North Riverside location, you will play an integral role in supporting daily kitchen operations and preparing a variety of baked goods and café offerings. You'll assist with baking pastries, preparing sandwiches and salads, packing wholesale orders, and completing basic pastry prep while working alongside a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, bakery, or food service experience is preferred but not required
• Able to reliably arrive for scheduled shifts beginning at 5:00 AM
• Must have or be willing to obtain a food handler's certification
• Reliable and able to commit to a consistent schedule, including early morning start times as needed
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently while also being a supportive team member
• Open to feedback and eager to learn new skills
• Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking for up to 10 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive kitchen tasks
• Comfortable working in an environment with potential allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, and dairy

Responsibilities

• Assisting with baking pastries and other baked goods
• Preparing sandwiches, salads, and other café menu items
• Completing basic pastry prep, including cookies, muffins, and other bakery items
• Packing and organizing wholesale orders for distribution
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including dishwashing, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work areas
• Following food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborating with the team and stepping in where needed to support daily operations
