About The Position

The Body Weld Team Leader assists the Group Leader in coordinating departmental activities and supporting the team in meeting production schedules while emphasizing safety and quality. The role communicates the Group Leader’s directions to Team Members, helps resolve performance-related problems and concerns, trains Team Members in departmental functions, and performs Team Member activities as needed. The position requires regular attendance and rotating shifts. The Team Leader must be flexible to work in all areas of the department and perform duties as needed to accomplish YKTA’s goals and objectives.

Requirements

Ability to read and follow instructions.
Working knowledge of all Body Weld processes.
Must currently be working in Body Weld.
Personal computer and software skills.
Ability to lift up to 33 pounds at times.
Must be flexible to work in all areas of the department.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of production experience.
Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of self and others.
Communicate the Group Leader’s directions to Team Members.
Help coordinate team activities to meet production schedules while emphasizing safety and quality.
Analyze work problems and recommend solutions to the Group Leader.
Assist Team Members with problems or concerns affecting their performance, including directing them to the Group Leader or Human Resources as appropriate.
Train Team Members in departmental functions.
Maintain production records as needed.
Report machine and equipment malfunctions to the Machine Maintenance team.
Perform Team Member activities as needed.
Maintain and complete necessary reporting.
Work flexibly in all areas of the department and perform other duties as needed to accomplish YKTA goals and objectives.
Maintain regular attendance and work rotating shifts.
