About The Position

Jeff Wyler Forest Park Collision Center is looking for a talented, hardworking, detail-obsessed Body Shop Technician to join our team in Fairfield, Ohio. We're looking for someone who knows their way around a damaged vehicle, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and doesn't consider “close enough” an acceptable measurement. Your job is simple: Take vehicles that have had a very bad day and make them look like they never did. You'll be responsible for repairing collision damage safely, accurately, and efficiently while following manufacturer procedures and professional industry standards.

Requirements

Collision repair experience preferred.
Knowledge of automotive body repair procedures.
Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
Valid driver's license.
Strong attention to detail.
Dependable attendance and work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collision environment.

Nice To Haves

I-CAR training/certifications.
OEM certifications.
Structural repair experience.
Welding experience.
Experience with modern ADAS-equipped vehicles.
Experience working with aluminum and high-strength steel.

Responsibilities

Repair collision damage and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
Perform structural and non-structural repairs.
Remove and replace damaged body panels, components, and related parts.
Perform body repairs, metal finishing, welding, and other collision-related work.
Properly disassemble vehicles for repair and reassemble them when the job is complete.
Follow OEM repair procedures and safety requirements.
Inspect your work because “I think it looks good” isn't exactly a quality-control process.
Communicate with estimators, parts personnel, painters, technicians, and management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Identify additional damage when discovered and communicate it appropriately.
Take pride in delivering a finished vehicle you're comfortable putting your name on.
Occasionally stare at a mangled quarter panel and wonder, “Who did this to you?”
