We are looking for highly motivated, energetic and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Collision Repair/Body Shop Technician. This role is a fast-paced and challenging position that relies on the ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a professional, well-spoken manner and identify their individual needs by taking ownership of the customer experience. A body repair technician can repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-4 years of body shop experience is strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages.
  • Return the vehicle to factory specifications.
  • Remove vehicle trim to gain access to the vehicle body.
  • Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure quality repair.
  • Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and a cutting torch.
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.
  • Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
  • Aim headlights.
  • Replace bolts on panels and align them properly.
  • Make cosmetic repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections to original specifications.
  • Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job.
