About The Position

Miller Transportation Group is immediately hiring a Body Shop Technician for our Miller Truck Leasing division in Amsterdam, NY. With over 100 years of experience and upwards of 8,000 trucks on the road, Miller currently operates over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops throughout KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH. Requirements

• Formal training or some experience in Body Shop Repair operations or as a Body Shop Technician
• Free range of motion in hands and arms to work with small parts and in small spaces
• Attention to detail, customer service, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to use a wide range of tools and equipment to assess damage and determine how to make repairs

Nice To Haves

• Trailer repair experience
• PPG Painter certification
• Valid CDL class A or B

Responsibilities

• Provide full-body restoration and paint to trucks involved in collisions
• Perform fiber glass repairs
• Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
• Repair trailers, side rails, side sheets
• Repair and replace rooves, roll up doors, lower rails, body corners, and body swaps
• Ability to install lift gates
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Perform other shop maintenance duties as assigned
