Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full Time Body Shop Technician for our Whitestown, IN location. We are looking for a Body Shop Technician to perform a range of body repairs and refinish assignments such as painting, fiberglass work, and dent repair. With increasing responsibility the Body Shop Tech must ensure all repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.

Requirements

Must possess and maintain a full set of tools necessary to perform the tasks assigned
Knowledge of hand-tools and computerized repair equipment is necessary
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
Strict observance of all safety precautions and use of provided safety apparel

Responsibilities

Repaint damaged exterior of the vehicle
Use various tools and supplies to assist in removing dents and dings
Perform a range of body repairs and refinish assignments such as painting, fiberglass work, and dent repair
Ensure all repairs are performed correctly and efficiently
Use and maintain paint spraying equipment
Use welding equipment
Install glass
