At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we’re looking for a reliable Body Shop Painter II to help resurrect our rides and get them ready for resale. If that’s you – and we hope it is – read on!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Clear a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be able to work at a specified Cox location.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

  • Active ASE certifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs surface refinishing work.
  • Surface preparation prior (masking / protecting adjacent areas, sanding, priming, etc.).
  • Handling, applying and disposing of surface coatings.
  • Ensuring surface coatings / refinish products are properly formulated in terms of color and finish texture.
  • Applying refinish coatings.
  • Inspect refinish products to be used for proper formulation to meet color match and finish texture standards.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all paint formulation and application equipment.
  • Comply with applicable procedures and regulations regarding mixing, labeling, applying and disposing of paint and related materials.
  • Wearing and using appropriate safety equipment at all times.
  • Following all job-related safety and health procedures.
  • Assisting with special projects assigned.
