This role is a mid-level Automotive Technician. This Technician may work independently or in a team environment. The technician performs preventive maintenance, various repairs and maintenance based on certification levels, maintains/repairs shop equipment, keeps the shop area clean and tidy, performs work in accordance with safety standards, disposes of fluids safely, creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records, and may upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment. Additional responsibilities for Level II & III include performing light to major repairs, advanced vehicle diagnostics, interfacing with vendors for parts and repairs, providing roadside assistance, using custom equipment for moderate design/fabrication tasks including welding, maintaining specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, direct interaction with customers, and efficient diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general automotive parts and accessories. This includes a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs such as brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, major engine and hydraulics.
