Body Shop Helper
About The Position
The Body Shop Helper is responsible for assisting the technicians in repairing and restoring all assigned vehicles to pre accident condition. Assist in approaching the repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process. Assist in de-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts. Assist in pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions. Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary. Assist in performing quality repairs without passing on defects. Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follows proper repair procedures. Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal. Keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas.
Requirements
- ASE certification in body repairs
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
Nice To Haves
- Auto Body Vo-Tech certification or military equivalent experience preferred
- Demonstrate commitment to continued learning by ongoing participation in I-CAR
- I-CAR Welding certificate a plus
