About The Position

We have a great career opportunity for you to join Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey as a Bodyshop Estimator. If you are a personable, thoughtful and tech-savvy individual who strives to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, this position is for you! As a Collision Repair Estimator, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process, helping deliver an outstanding customer experience from initial inspection to vehicle delivery. Your day begins by greeting customers, inspecting damaged vehicles, documenting damage, and preparing accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software. You'll communicate regularly with customers, insurance adjusters, technicians, and parts personnel to ensure repairs are properly authorized, parts are available, and work progresses efficiently. As repairs move forward, you'll review supplements, update estimates when additional damage is discovered, and keep customers informed about repair timelines. Throughout the day, you'll participate in production meetings, coordinate with the repair team to maintain workflow, and help achieve key performance indicators related to cycle time, estimate accuracy, and customer satisfaction. By maintaining detailed documentation, following OEM repair procedures, and ensuring every estimate is complete and accurate, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality repairs while creating a positive experience for every customer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid BC driver's license.
  • Experience with OEM repair procedures.
  • Experience with insurance policies.
  • Proficient with programs such as Mitchell UltraMate, Mitchell Connect, Mitchell Tech Advisor, etc.
  • Strong understanding of collision repair procedures, vehicle construction, and repair techniques.
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance claims appraisers.
  • Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task and keep organized in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in all work and communication.
  • A positive can-do attitude!

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary automotive training is an asset.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a collision repair estimating or automotive body repair is preferred.
