About The Position
Capital Chevrolet Buick GMC Calgary is currently hiring a full-time Auto Body Estimator to join our expert team. You’ll play a vital role in guiding the repair process from first estimate to final inspection, while being supported by a company that truly puts people first. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a collision repair or body shop environment
- A valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain professional under pressure
- A collaborative attitude and self-driven work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Ability to drive a manual transmission is an asset
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle damage to determine the full extent of repairs
- Accurately estimate parts, labour, and materials
- Review and explain estimates to customers and insurance adjusters
- Secure approval for repairs and obtain necessary signatures
- Create work orders and update records in management systems
- Collaborate with technicians and suppliers to keep repairs moving efficiently
- Monitor repairs, follow up with stakeholders, and ensure all work meets quality standards
- Maintain body shop records and assist the Body Shop Manager with workflow
