The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel truck repair and be able to accurately appraise vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair or customization. Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills with staff, customers, and insurance providers.
Organized and able to track multiple projects at one time.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair and estimating software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Two to four years related experience and/or training.
Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Project management to include tracking parts, status updates, and maintain schedule.
Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of damage related to the said incident.
Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
Coordinate with insurance companies and customers.
Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
