Universal Truck Service operates a full-service body shop handling heavy, moderate, and light duty truck repairs. Our team is built on the belief that great service and quality are not a thing of the past - and our Body Shop Estimator plays a central role in delivering on that promise every day. A Day in the Life As a Body Shop Estimator at Universal Truck Service, you will start your day reviewing vehicles that have come in for damage assessment. You will conduct thorough inspections, meet with customers and fleet accounts to walk through repair timelines and costs, and draft work orders in the FullBay system after approvals. The Body Shop Estimator at Universal Truck Service is the bridge between the customer and the shop - your accuracy and communication keep everything moving.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Body Shop Estimator experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Valid Minnesota driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years in a paint or body environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of body damage on heavy, moderate, and light duty trucks
  • Estimate repair costs consistent with expenses, profit goals, and work schedules
  • Meet with customers and insurance companies to explain repairs, costs, and timelines
  • Determine whether to repair or replace damaged parts
  • Draft and enter work orders into the FullBay system following approvals
  • Prepare damage reports and obtain necessary authorization signatures
  • Maintain repair records and support the final quality inspection process
  • Go out and meet new customers
