About The Position

Pacific Collision Center is looking to hire an Auto Detailer/Paint Prep Technician responsible for cleaning, buffing and detailing vehicles. The Body Shop Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. This is a full-time position that pays hourly; it is non-negotiable and non-commission-based. Pacific BMW is a family-owned Dealership operated in Glendale since 1982. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of auto detailing/buffing experience is required
Must have at least one year of color sanding and polishing experience
Ability to submit to a respirator fit test and pass a pulmonary function test
Ability to incorporate lean processes into running the paint team, which will be taught
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
Current Driver's License with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with BMW Colorsystem (Axalta) and Sikkens Paint lines preferred, but not required
Auto Body Painting Trade School Certificate is desirable

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation
Apply wax, glass coat, and claying process to auto body and wipe or buff surface
Perform Quality Control checks on paint and reassembly work
Review work order to ensure all tasks are completed
Perform Denib/Color Sand operations post-paint and photo document as necessary
Perform detail packages requested by customer
Dispose of any hazardous waste properly
Complete training available on detail products/tools/techniques
