About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Body Imager to join their renowned Department of Radiology. This department, established by Alice Ettinger, MD, a pioneer in her field, honors her legacy by contributing to groundbreaking academics and research that allows for care of the whole patient. This is an opportunity to work with a close-knit team at a level 1 trauma center, providing renowned academic care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in body imaging (thoracoabdominal imaging) with proficiency in interpretation of abdominopelvic CT and Chest CT, MRI and ultrasound studies, plain films and fluoroscopic GI contrast studies. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about advancing patient care and clinical research, and contributing to education and training of future radiologists at a leading academic medical center.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold an MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent degree.
  • Board eligibility/Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
  • Expertise in all aspects of multimodality body imaging, including cancer imaging and transplant imaging (especially liver transplant)
  • Medical licensure or eligibility in Massachusetts

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in interpretation of abdominopelvic CT and Chest CT, MRI and ultrasound studies, plain films and fluoroscopic GI contrast studies.

Responsibilities

  • Partake in multidisciplinary conferences and educational conferences with departments of GI medicine, surgery, transplant, urology, gynecology, and oncology.
  • Participation in research projects and quality improvement projects typically supervising medical students and residents are encouraged.
  • Opportunities for internal moonlighting (i.e. extra weekend calls) are available for those who are interested in earning additional income (this is voluntary).
  • Administrative and Academic time will be provided commensurate with administrative, educational, and research responsibilities.
  • Clinical and non-clinical work-based incentives are available and paid annually at the time of annual performance review with the Chair.
  • Have a presence on-site to collaborate with members of the department.

  • Weekday shifts are from 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Weekend on-call duties (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) are remote and at home workstations are provided to each radiologist.
