Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (Remote)
About The Position
Patriot MGA is seeking a full-time remote Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve first- and third-party private passenger auto liability casualty claims. The role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized professional with strong decision-making ability. The adjuster manages assigned claims from investigation through resolution, including evaluating coverage, liability, and damages; maintaining appropriate reserves and diary/task management; negotiating bodily injury claims; and documenting claim activity and decisions. The position reports to the Claims Supervisor or Claims Manager.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of bodily injury auto claims handling experience.
- Experience in an MGA, carrier, or insurance claims administration environment.
- Active adjuster licenses in applicable states, or the ability to obtain required licenses.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to positively affect team culture and morale.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confrontational situations with first- and third-party customers.
Nice To Haves
- 5 or more years of bodily injury auto claims handling experience.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve questions regarding coverage, liability, and damages for private passenger bodily injury auto claims.
- Ensure proper reserving and diary/task management for all assigned claims.
- Follow Patriot MGA standard operating procedures and best claims practices.
- Provide customer service to insureds, claimants, carriers, and partners.
- Contribute positively to company culture and morale.
- Adjust claims in compliance with applicable state regulations.
- Thoroughly document claims activities to support investigation decisions.
- Evaluate and negotiate bodily injury claims with injured parties or their representatives.
- Document and answer demands in accordance with Patriot MGA best claims practices and state regulations.
