About The Position

Nick J. Ryan & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking an Attorney to join its Miami, Florida Claim Litigation office. The role involves owning cases, participating in litigation events, and meeting with clients. Attorneys work collaboratively, assist one another, and have access to support staff while maintaining ownership of their files. Because attorneys are not billed by the hour, they can strategize on trial and case development throughout litigation. The position offers career development opportunities. This is a hybrid role requiring time both in the office and virtually. Employees in hybrid roles must spend time in the office, and work arrangements may change based on business needs. The office is located at 5301 Waterford District Drive, Suite 200, Miami, FL 33126. The position requires an active Florida law license and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Florida. Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; State Farm will not sponsor applicants. Except for authorized and pro bono work, State Farm attorneys may not handle legal business outside State Farm, and candidates must cease outside practice and suit involvement before joining. Travel by personal or commercial transportation to job-related activities is an essential function. Irregular hours may be required.
