About The Position

The Boathouse is looking for motivated individuals to help us run our restaurant beginning opening May 1st, with a desire to deliver exceptional service to our guests and a passion to be a part of the Edgewater Family. Training shifts before May 1st are flexible to accommodate individual schedules. The Edgewater offers the highest quality of customer service delivered to our guests both in and out of our restaurants. Our bartenders take great pride in delivering excellent service to their customers directly, as well as preparing drinks for our Boathouse dining room and patio staff to serve to their guests. Our bartenders ensure accurate drink preparations, maintain their bar inventory and cleanliness, and operate with a team mentality to support the overall success of the Boathouse team.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience of one (1) year or more in casual or fine-dining settings.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wine.
  • Have ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs (To include beer kegs).
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food & beverage service within a hotel/resort setting is a plus.
  • The focus to ensure correct order taking and prompt service to multiple tables at a time while allowing guests the freedom to customize orders to their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing drinks for dining room and patio staff.
  • Ensuring accurate drink preparations.
  • Maintaining bar inventory and cleanliness.
  • Operating with a team mentality to support the overall success of the Boathouse team.
  • Carrying food trays, delivering drinks, carrying drinking glasses, plate ware and flatware through kitchen areas.
  • Occasionally moving tables and chairs.
