We are looking for a Second Shift Boat Mate to join our team. Requirements

Education requires specialized or technical knowledge requiring formal training.
Minimum of 2 years as First Mate or Captain.
Read, Write, Speak Fluent English
Able to swim
Red Cross Lifesaving training
Stand 80% of the shift
Endure exposure to the elements
Knowledge of safety regulations and equipment.
Knowledge of signal lights and running gear
Communication skills require the ability to provide or obtain basic types of factual information or explanations.
Writing skills require the ability to write text designed to communicate technical information.
Responsible for planning and performing a wide variety of duties requiring independent action working toward general results; responsible for meeting different conditions, making decisions based on precedents and company policy.
Demonstrates the required skills of job responsibilities through practical testing
Property Specific Tests

Responsibilities

Check all fluids at the start of each shift
Inspect hold for proper cargo stowing
Stands watch during specified periods
Examines cargo handling gear and lifesaving equipment for needed repairs and maintenance
Assumes command of ship in event captain becomes incapacitated
Activities include handling of chemicals/chemical compounds such as cleaning agents.
Make good use of idle time, including but not limited to making sure boat is clean at all times between trips.
Shall perform other duties, as assigned, in other areas of the marina with little notice if requested by management.
