About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Dock Master. This role involves guiding guests on boating excursions, supervising and maintaining the marina and retail store, and ensuring a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate has experience in marina operations, enjoys interacting with people, and is dedicated to providing exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid West Virginia Boaters Safety Card
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License
  • Must be service oriented.
  • Possess a working knowledge of watercraft.
  • Ability to communicate in written and oral forms.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to interact well with others in a professional manner.
  • Ability to adjust to changing environments and guest interactions.
  • Must be well groomed, with nametag on at all times while working on the property.
  • Must be well-mannered, display helpful attitude, greet guests when encountered show appreciation to the guest for being at the Resort, show willingness to help guests at all times.
  • Open availability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safe operation for the vessel as outlined in the “Navigation Rules” book and is responsible for the safety of all passengers and crew.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the vessel and follows all safety guidelines while fueling and pumping the sewage from the boat.
  • Perform pre-run checks and prepares boat for each voyage, including starting engines, checking oil and filters, etc.
  • Performs cleaning duties on boat after each run to ensure that the boat is prepared for next run, includes sweeping of floors, emptying of trash, and restroom cleaning etc.
  • Inspects The Mosaic to ensure that vessel is a clean and a safe environment.
  • Inspects The Mosaic to ensure proper maintenance is being used to keep the vessel in good working condition.
  • Checks oil levels and filter condition.
  • Understands and performs basic troubleshooting tasks on engines.
  • Adheres to the rules of the road as outlined in the “Navigation Rules” book.
  • Inspects all life jackets and fire extinguishers to ensure that they are in the proper working condition.
  • Ensures compliance of all guests with associated safety requirements.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for tracking and submissions.
  • Secures and locks boat for storage.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines administered by the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the WV Division of Natural Resources, and Stonewall Resort.
  • To assist other departments as required.
  • Will perform additional duties as requested by the Outdoor Services Manager and Director of Resort Facilities.
