Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and cool under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
• Must be willing to work a schedule that will include holidays, nights, overnights, and/or weekends.
• Minimum 2 years previous experienced preferred
• Familiarity with station format required.
• Must be able to perform with little supervision
• High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with FCC rules and regulations preferred.
• college degree in media-related major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs as well as produce talk shows, sporting events, and on-site broadcasts
• Collaborate on story ideas
• Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence
• Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
• Other duties as required by management

Benefits

• Pay Transparency: The anticipated starting salary range for Richmond-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $15.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr.. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
