About The Position

The Animal Ophthalmology Clinic in Grapevine, Texas, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join their world-class specialty practice. This role involves diagnosing and managing complex ocular diseases, performing advanced ophthalmic surgeries, and handling critical ocular emergencies. The position offers a supportive, highly skilled team environment with access to state-of-the-art equipment and a consultative workflow. The clinic is dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary medicine and works with breeders on hereditary ocular disease elimination. The Grapevine location offers a balance of professional rigor and access to the amenities of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or board eligible upon completion of an ACVO approved residency in veterinary ophthalmology
Active Texas veterinary licensure, or ability and willingness to obtain Texas licensure prior to start
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of veterinary medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Strong communication skills and ability to make clear, confident clinical decisions
Collaborative team player who fosters strong relationships with colleagues, referring veterinarians, and clients

Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage a wide range of complex ocular diseases across species, from routine to emergent presentations
Perform advanced ophthalmic surgeries utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques
Manage critical ocular emergencies in a dedicated specialty setting
Collaborate with and serve as a resource for referring primary care veterinarians throughout the DFW metroplex
Partner with breeders on hereditary ocular disease screening and elimination programs
Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, continuous learning, and compassionate patient care
