About The Position

Board Certified Urology Physician services onsite in Savannah, GA. The physician will deliver comprehensive urological care to including outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and on-call services in accordance with clinical standards and facility requirements.

Requirements

  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in Georgia (or assistance provided for obtaining one).
  • No history of suspended, revoked, restricted, or voluntarily surrendered licensure.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (American Board of Urology – ABU).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Urology residency (minimum 3 years Urologic Surgery training).
  • Demonstrated competency in full scope urologic procedures and surgical techniques.
  • Strong clinical and surgical urology skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume veteran patient population.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to urgent clinical needs.
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and clinical documentation).
  • All CME requirements must be maintained and up to date.

Nice To Haves

  • Robotics, laparoscopic, and highly complex urologic surgeries are not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive urological care including outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and on-call services.
  • Evaluate and manage urology patients in outpatient clinic.
  • Perform cystoscopy procedures, vasectomies, and minor urologic procedures.
  • Perform scrotal and testicular procedures.
  • Perform prostate-related procedures (TURP and related surgeries).
  • Manage bladder cancer.
  • Perform ureteroscopy procedures.
  • Manage kidney and stone disease.
  • Perform inpatient rounding for urology patients.
  • Provide general urologic surgeries including ureteral, endoscopic, prostate, bladder, and kidney procedures.
  • Utilize urological equipment including Holmium laser, ESWL, and Fluoroscopy.
  • Perform Specialty Evaluations such as Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Agent Orange evaluations.
  • Communicate all test results per hospital policy, addressing critical results within 60 minutes.
  • Ensure proper documentation, read-back procedures, and patient notification.
  • Coordinate care plans and discharge instructions for continuity of care.
  • Adhere to all clinical policies and procedures.
  • Provide discharge education and follow-up care instructions.
  • Ensure timely completion of consults and patient encounters.
  • Maintain compliance with EMR/EHR and mandatory training requirements.
