About The Position

Dane Street is expanding its physician panel and seeking Washington-licensed physician advisors to support L&I Independent Medical Exams. This role involves conducting in-person Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) across multiple clinic locations. The position is for independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a per-case basis. No-shows, late cancellations, and other ancillary fees are established to protect your time. This is a non-traditional physician work opportunity offering supplemental income.

Requirements

• Must be in active practice.
• Board-certified in Otolaryngology.
• A Washington medical license is required.
• Active practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records.
• Performs a physical exam of the patient.
• Addresses clinical questions regarding the patient's diagnosis and care.
• Accepts cases on a contract basis as individual schedule permits.
• Reviews all medical records.
• Conducts physical exams.
• Completes a report addressing each question and clinical concern utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.
• Provides a report promptly, post exam.
• Returns cases on or before the due date and time specified.
• Completes peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required based on client-specific protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.
