About The Position

Dane Street is expanding its physician panel and seeking Washington-licensed physician advisors to support L&I Independent Medical Exams. This role involves conducting in-person Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) at various clinic locations. The position offers non-traditional physician work and supplemental income. Physician reviewers are independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a per-case basis. No-show and late cancellation fees are in place to protect the physician's time. The role does not establish a doctor/patient relationship or provide treatment, focusing solely on advisory opinions.

Requirements

• Must be in active practice.
• Must be board-certified in Dermatology.
• A Washington medical license is required.
• Active practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records.
• Perform physical exams of patients.
• Address clinical questions regarding patient diagnosis and care.
• Complete reports addressing each question and clinical concern utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.
• Provide reports promptly after the exam.
• Return cases on or before the specified due date and time.
• Complete peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required.
• Address any necessary clarification.
• Provide addenda as required (with additional compensation).
• Identify and respond to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.
