About The Position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to patients on the Specialty Pediatric Unit and develops and implements ongoing services for staff. The role includes supporting ABA programming, providing direct patient services, supervising and training staff, conducting assessments, and participating in team and performance improvement activities. The BCBA must maintain their license or certification in good standing and follow hospital policies and procedures. The schedule is flexible and may include weekends or evenings when appropriate. Other job-related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Experience developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with adolescents.
Skill and competence to provide services to patients.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification by BACB.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Nice To Haves

First aid may be required, depending on the state or facility.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates.
Train new staff on ABA techniques.
Keep abreast of treatment advances and set appropriate goals for self-improvement.
Facilitate daily team meetings.
Attend required staff meetings and complete yearly mandatory in-services.
Provide direct services to patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
Conduct appropriate assessments, including ADOS and other specific assessments, in a timely manner.
Participate in performance improvement activities.
Follow hospital policies and procedures.
Maintain license or certification in good standing.
Perform other job-related duties and functions as assigned by the supervisor.
