Requirements
- Master's Degree in a related field (psychology, education).
- Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA).
- Advanced coursework in applied behavior analysis and/or working with children with disabilities.
- Maintain BCBA Supervisor eligibility.
- Functional understanding of advanced ABA principles.
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
- Proficient skills in functional assessment, person-centered planning, coaching, team building and team development.
- Behavior support plan design.
- Proficient PC skills, including knowledge of School Wide Positive Behavior Support systems including SW-PBIS data systems (i.e. TIC, SET, and Educator’s Handbook).
- A minimum of five (5) years' related experience.
- At least two years’ experience working as a team leader or consultant.
- Experience conducting FBA’s and creating PBSP’s.
- Experience teaching functional communication and social skills.
- Experience implementing and creating behavior analytic curriculum (Verbal Behavior, DTI).
- Staff training experience.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate positive behavior change for students exhibiting maladaptive responses that interfere with skill acquisition and overall school programming, in collaboration with school staff (teachers, administrators, and support staff).
- Identify environmental variables occasioning and maintaining maladaptive responses and potential student skill deficits.
- Develop Behavior Intervention Plans that are suitable for the academic setting, in conjunction with school staff.
- Develop curricular programs for specific students to address various skill domains (communication, self-help, academic, etc.).
- Provide staff training to ensure fluency in implementing Behavior Intervention Programs and skill acquisition programs.
- Provide consultation programming in the home for students requiring it, including training for parents and school personnel.
