About The Position

Thrive Collaborative is seeking an experienced BCBA to lead individualized services in Aspen and the surrounding areas (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs). You will combine clinical leadership with hands-on work: designing programs, developing interventionists, coaching families and educators, and helping clients build skills in the settings where they use them. Our model brings together behavioral science, human development, and trauma-informed care, with respect for each client's identity, strengths, and interests. This is a small, multidisciplinary practice where naturalistic teaching, family partnership, and meaningful relationships guide care. The BCBA will serve an average of 5-7 clients, supporting continuity and individualized care. The role includes a defined workweek of 40 total work hours and 25 billable hours per week, with work-from-home options for indirect work and telehealth meetings and sessions as clinically indicated. The position offers access to experienced colleagues in ABA, speech-language, occupational therapy, and Early Start Denver Model specialists. Learning is built into the schedule with in-house CEUs and paid professional development. Work is rooted in everyday life, partnering with clients, families, and educators across home, school, clinic, community, and telehealth settings.

Requirements

• Current BCBA certification and a master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of practice as a BCBA, with experience leading clinical programming, supervising interventionists, and coaching caregivers or providers.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while seeking and incorporating consultation.
• Reliable transportation for services across the assigned area.
• Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, including active participation in intervention and lifting up to 40 pounds where essential to the role.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with natural environment teaching (NET), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), or related naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs).
• Experience supervising interventionists in home or school settings.
• Experience coordinating care across home, school, and community environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized behavior analytic and naturalistic intervention programs aligned with client and family priorities.
• Use clinical data and ongoing observation to evaluate progress and adapt treatment.
• Supervise and coach interventionists through modeling, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Coach parents, caregivers, and teachers to embed learning opportunities into everyday routines.
• Provide direct intervention and model strategies in natural environments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans, including support for significant challenging behavior, with training provided.
• Lead client team meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary providers and community partners.
• Complete clinical documentation and recommendations for funders.
• Participate in peer review, shared learning, and professional training.
